The Voice of the Unheard

There once was a multi million dollar deal that was in the local news for a very long time.

A very old castle was slowly crumbling.  The villagers that worked in the castle tried everything they could to keep her in working order so that visitors to their town could stay and enjoy the historic,  beautiful and friendly surroundings.  But alas, the current King could no longer put off the inevitable and said yes to a neighboring townsman when he offered a proposal for the future.

Oh, such a yarn was spun.  The tale included glitz, glamour and prosperity for all.  The villagers were told it would be OK and had no choice but to keep believing that the glitz, glamour and prosperity would include them too!

Years later, the tale began to unravel.  Promises were broken.  All the Kings involved in the proposal wanted to be heard; wanted THEIR interest bumped to the top of the must haves; wanted to stay in the spotlight.

The villagers were cast aside.  Their families and friends were dumbfounded at the absurdity of it all.  Article after article was written about the Kings, the townsman and the local leaders.  The villagers suffered in silence.  They had no voice.  Their dedication to their King and the love for their castle never waivered, but they remain wondering.....

Where is their voice?  When will anyone notice the number of villagers that were cast aside?  When will the town leaders, the opposing sides and the Townsman realize the damage that is STILL being caused because of them?

So many lives affected, yet they go unnoticed.
