I don't know about you but March 1st is one of my favorite days! Odd right?! To me it signifies that Spring is almost here. People just seem happier in the warmer months. OK, so this is a MIDWEST blog so ya'll in the Southern states just roll with it!
I was talking to my future son-in-law yesterday and he reminded me of one MORE thing to be grateful for and give thanks.
When it was announced that I was losing my job and that I would have to figure out a way to support my family, it was scary. I started sending out resumes to anyone and everyone hoping something would turn up quickly. For those of you that aren't familiar with that method, it's called "Throw a bunch against the wall and see what sticks!" Great plan right?! NOT!
I quickly realized that method was depressing. Instead, I remembered my idea of five years ago to have my own company. I dove into the deep end and jump started Xtrahands again. I asked for help and friends and mentors offered advice, sent emails and had their companies assist me in ways I could have never imagined.
I love waking up each morning and the first thought that crosses my mind is THANK YOU and the next is I can't wait to see who I can help today.
Are you happy when you wake up? If not, maybe it's time to jump into the deep end with me and make a change. Everyone gets to choose!
