Actions Speak Louder Than Words

You have heard it many times.  From preachers, teachers, mothers and fathers.  From sisters, brothers, friends and children.

WHOA... wait a minute.  Children?!?!?!

When you were growing up, you might have lived in a home in which your mother or father or heaven forbid both, spoke these words:  "Do as I say, not as I do."

When you went to school, you might have had a teacher or a principal that had rules that were not necessarily about education, but yet, when you saw them and they were not looking, they broke those same rules.

When you were dating, you might have been with someone that said they loved you, but their abusive (either verbal, emotional or physical) actions said otherwise.

When you got married, you might have married a partner that made promise after promise when faced with a separation, but they always reverted to the same behaviour that caused that separation.

CHILDREN are very smart.  Their eyes are wide open and take in everything.  They see our actions each and every day and when those actions do not align with our words, they see that too!

What are YOUR actions telling the children in your life?  What are YOUR actions telling the friends in your life?  What are  YOUR actions telling the co-workers, the family members, the spouse?

My hope is that I do not have to say a word.

My actions will speak for me!
